            CAQH Credentialing                        

CAQH is a non profit organization formed to simplify health care administration. The organization works to promote quality interactions between insurance carriers and providers while reducing costs.  Credentialing reduces health care administration costs by reducing the paperwork in provider's offices and with insurance companies. Currently over 250 insurance carriers and almost half a million providers have taken advantage of the universal credentialing system.

CAQH credentialing eliminates the need to complete an application for each individual insurance company. The application can be completed either online or on paper. The purpose of the universal application is to eliminate the need for individual credentialing applications for each individual insurance company.

When a provider notifies an insurance company that he or she would like to apply to become participating, the insurance company can go to the C A Q H application and find all the information they need.
